The Pursuit by Equinox is a first-of-its-kind connected studio cycling experience that uses real-time data to inspire and motivate riders in a highly immersive, competitive environment.
We partnered with exercise scientists to map the arc of both class formats — the rhythm of a hills-based ride and the cadence of intervals. We storyboarded the full experience and spent time prototyping and testing the rides in the physical studio space, letting the environment inform the design.
We designed two class formats (Burn and Build) each with three interconnected systems: the in-class projected experience, the individual real-time rider app, and the instructor iPad app — all built to work together in a high-energy, live environment.
